MTV3 news channel reports that Mauri Pekkarinen, Minister of Economic Affiars, aims at giving his proposition on nuclear power licences by 8th of April and hopes that the government’s proposition on the matter would be ready by 1st of May. The government parties will handle the issue together after Mr Pekkarinen has given his proposition.

If the government makes its proposition according to this schedule, the parliament would be able to process it in the turn of May-June. The parliament decides on the matter on the basis of government’s proposition. The parliament can either accept or reject the government's proposition but has not the power to influence on its content.
