Government is to process all three applications for a nuclear power plant at the turn of the year, says Ministry of Employment and the Economy according to Finnish News Agency STT. All three applications will be processed at the same time.

The Government’s positive decision needs to be passed by the Parliament. This decision is expected to be made in spring. Ministry says procedure may be delayed, though, due to possible appeals.

Three companies, Fennovoima, Fortum and TVO, have applied for a Decision-in-Principle.
