Weekly business paper Tekniikka & Talous reports that Oulu University starts an updating nuclear power technology training program. The program is organized in cooperation with the Lappeenranta University of Technology, Oulu University of Applied Sciences and other parties operating within the business.
In the first phase, the target is to train experts especially for construction and operation of Fennovoima’s nuclear power plant that is to be located in Northern Finland.
The students participating in the training are required to have a university degree or equivalent knowledge in energy, process or construction technology and a working experience of more than three years in some of these fields of expertise.
A second part of the training is to be organized for further studies and in the future, nuclear power technology studies can be included as part of Oulu University Master’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Technology.
The trainers come from Oulu University, Lappeenranta University of Technology and various Finnish nuclear power industry organizations.
