Project Manager, Mechanical Heavy Equipment, Nuclear Island

We are strengthening our Nuclear Island Project unit team and hiring a new Project Manager. As a Mechanical Project Manager you will follow-up and coordinate activities relevant to important mechanical equipment like reactor pressure vessel, steam generators etc. in order to ensure that these will be manufactured, delivered to site and ready for installation according to the project schedules. Moreover in this position you will combine the individual expertise within the Fennovoima organization and act as a link between the different disciplines ensuring the common approach. Mechanical Heavy Equipment Project Manager reports to NI Project Unit Manager.

Your tasks will include at least:

  • Development of the Project plan and management of the updates
  • Coordination of the activities relevant to the important mechanical safety related equipment within Fennovoima as well as with project Supplier
  • Management of relevant documentation activities for these important mechanical equipment
  • Management of communication between Fennovoima, Supplier and Sub-suppliers
  • Progress and schedule follow-up
  • Identification and reporting of risks relevant to the area of responsibility
  • Management of teams and sub projects

Ideal candidate for this position has:

  • Technical engineering degree – preferably mechanical
  • Project management experience and knowledge
  • Deep knowledge of schedule monitoring and control
  • Strong coordination, project management and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the nuclear safety regulations, VVER technology and experience from construction is an advantage
  • Fluent skills in English, Russian is an advantage
