Fennovoima will build a new nuclear power plant

Fennovoima will build a max 1,800 megawatt nuclear power plant in Northern Finland in order to produce electricity for its shareholders at cost price.

In 2011 Fennovoima chose Pyhäjoki in Northern Finland as the site location for its nuclear power plant.

In 2012 or 2013 Fennovoima will select the plant design from Areva or Toshiba. The schedule of the whole project will be specified in the plant contract.
